About MEFitness has always been a significant part of my life since a very young age. I participated in sports starting at the age of 4 and have continued this to the current day. I found at an early age that my love was always baseball, but living in the northeast we could only get out during certain parts of the year. I also ended up playing both football and basketball through High School where I thrived as an athlete.
I continued my journey after High School with baseball at the University of Connecticut as a pitcher. After being plagued by many injuries including a partially torn UCL and a PARS fracture in my back I persevered and overcame these devastating injuries because of my personal drive and commitment to a goal. I was rewarded and blessed with the opportunity to be drafted by the ST Louis Cardinals in 2003. After suffering a labrum tear which I came back from followed by a rotator cuff tear it was time to walk away from the game and the dream I had for so many years. To this day it has been the toughest decision I have ever made in my life. After my dreams were shattered I decided to focus on a new goal lifting weights, improving my endurance and understanding the nutrition aspect of the human body. In 2013, after just being a normal gym rat, I was challenged to step on stage as a Natural Bodybuilder. I trained and dieted for 6 months and placed 3rd at my first ever show. The drive didn't end there as I fell in love with transforming my body, understanding the nutrition aspect while still being able to compete against myself and see how it would come out on the stage. I continue to compete in the Natural Organizations while always setting my goals high, reaching them and setting new ones. Besides competing, I have another huge goal and that is to help others reach their own goals, with nutrition, workouts, and education of how the body works. I find now that my biggest satisfaction has little to do with my personal accomplishments but being able to help others find theirs. |
